Hannaford Fights Hunger for the CCFS Ends Today!
We wanted to touch base and thank you for helping to support us during our latest month in the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program!
We are down to the last day of the month, but there is still time to run out and pick up a few more of the Fight Hunger bags in support of the Colchester Foods Shelf at the Dorset Steet Hannaford. Encourage your family members and friends to do the same! With each bag purchase generating a $1.00 donation, every reusable Fight Hunger bag makes a difference!

Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program Update!
We are happy to share that 29 bags were sold at the Dorset Street Hannaford store in South Burlington between August 1 and August 16! That means $29.00 has been generated in donations for the Colchester Food Shelf! Thank you to everyone that has visited the Dorset Street Hannaford and purchased a bag!
With about a week and a half left in the month of August, there is still time visit the store and pick up a Fight Hunger bag!

The summer is in full swing and so are things at the Colchester Food Shelf! We have a lot going on this month. Please help us by sharing our August events with your friends and family near and far!
“Second Saturday” Hours Extended
Due to demand, the food shelf has decided to continue the extended Saturday hours on the second Saturday of each month. That being said, the Colchester Food Shelf will be open this Saturday, August 11, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Our volunteer staff will be available to receive donations and/or to help clients with their monthly shopping trip.
Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for August
The Hannaford Supermarket has chosen the Colchester Food Shelf AGAIN as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program! For this round, we are the recipients at the Hannaford located on Dorset Street in South Burlington for the entire month of August! As a reminder, every time anyone purchases a Fight Hunger bag at this location, we receive $1!
This is truly a great opportunity for us and an easy way for you to show your support for the food shelf! When you are out doing your shopping or just running your errands out in South Burlington, consider stopping in and picking up a bag (or two or more!) from the reusable bag rack! And remember to spread the word – the more bags purchased, the bigger donation to the food shelf.

CCFS Extended Hours on Saturday, July 14
It’s almost that time again! The Colchester Food Shelf will be open this Saturday, July 14, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., as the last day of our extended Saturday hours over the past few months. The extended hours are an effort to help accommodate those that cannot make it to the food shelf during our normal weekday hours due to work or other obligations. Our volunteer staff will be available to receive donations and/or to help clients with their monthly shopping trip. Help us spread the word!
Food Shelf Closed on July 4
The Colchester Food Shelf will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day! We will reopen at our regular hours on Thursday, July 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please help us spread the word. Stay cool out there!
