Food Help Distribution (Friday, June 19) – Registration Required
There will be another State-provided Food Help distribution for Chittenden County on Friday, June 19. Registration is required and must be completed prior to the event. The registration system will streamline the process, reduce wait times, and improve the experience for participants picking up food. To register and see the dates and locations, please visit humanresources.vermont.gov/food-help. If you have additional questions or do not have internet access, please call 2-1-1.
Food Shelf Clients (Old and New)
The Food Shelf will continue to be open ONLY on Wednesdays from 12 Noon to 6 PM. Please note:
- Before heading to the Food Shelf, please ensure you have room in the trunk of your car or the back of your SUV.
- When you arrive at the Food Shelf, please remain in your car and form a single line to the side door.
- If you are new to the Food Shelf, please bring proof of residency (E.g., utility bill, insurance bill, mortgage/lease). Unfortunately, a driver’s license cannot be used for proof of residency.
Donors
Thank you for your continued support and generosity! If you are donating groceries, please park at Union Memorial School. You will find a container in front of the school building. If Mother Nature does not cooperate, the donation bin will be located under the covered area at the front of the school. Please only donate on Wednesdays when the Food Shelf is open so that our volunteers are available to process the donations.

Next State Food Distribution – June 19 – Register Now!

The State of Vermont continues to provide meals, now through advance registration. The meals will be distributed on Friday June 19th–at a site disclosed to those who register.
Registration allows for planning staffing, the amount of food needed, and consideration of future needs.
Registrants will be given a window of time to arrive, minimizing the time commitment for pickup. Only those who have registered can pick up food

The registration system will streamline the process, reduce wait times, and improve the experience for participants picking up food. Registration for the upcoming Farmers to Families Food Box Distribution is required and must be completed in order to pick up food. Special Donation Hours (Wednesday, June 10)
Thank you for your continued support and generosity! Please note that there are special donation hours on Wednesday, June 10. Donors can park at Union Memorial School to make donations of non-perishable food items between 12 Noon and 4 p.m. Look for the container under the covered area at the front of the school building if it is raining. There will be a Second Grade Graduation at Union Memorial School beginning at 5 p.m. Please do not park at Union Memorial School for Colchester Food Shelf business after 4 p.m.
