SATURDAY, AUGUST 5 FOOD SHELF HOURS: 9 AM TO 11 AM
REMINDER: The Food Shelf will be open from 9 AM to 11 AM on Saturday. Please remember your reusable bags, if available, and your Proof of Residency if you are a new client of the Food Shelf or if requested. Proof would be a current bill, lease, etc., with your name and address. A driver’s license or car registration can not be used as Proof of Residence.
THANK YOU to all who came to the Open House on Saturday, July 29. Also, a thank you to the Colchester Lions Club for providing the hot dogs and burgers. We received canned goods and cash donations that more than made our matching goal of $1000.00!
DONATIONS: Thank you to all who donate so generously. Please only leave donations on Wednesdays/Saturdays (when we are open). The high-priority items are those that are on the shopping list used by our clients. LAST WEDNESDAY FOR SUMMER SCHOOL: Buses will be picking up summer school students at Union Memorial School between 12 Noon and 1 PM, and we ask that you line up from the Claussen’s side of the Food Shelf parking lot. Please be sure not to block their entrances/driveways. We will guide you back to the school side when bus transportation is complete.
REUSABLE SHOPPING BAGS: Please bring reusable bags if available.
PROOF OF RESIDENCE INFORMATION: Please don’t forget to bring Proof of Residency if you are a new client or if requested. Proof would be a current bill, lease, etc., with your name and address. A driver’s license or car registration can not be used as Proof of Residence.

OPEN HOUSE AT THE COLCHESTER FOOD SHELF SATURDAY, JULY 29: 11 AM TO 1 PM

The Colchester Community Food Shelf will be having an Open House from 11 AM to 1 PM. We would love to have you stop by to see how we serve Colchester residences with food insecurity.
You can look around the building; talk to the volunteers; ask questions; learn how you can help!
The Colchester Lions Club will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, so bring a canned good
listed on our shopping list (click here to view the list) and have lunch for free.
An anonymous donor will match the total of donations made during the Open House up to $1000.00!
