Cartoon Turkey

The Colchester Food Shelf has begun its preparations for Thanksgiving. As we have done each Thanksgiving, we would like to offer dinner fixings along with a turkey for current Food Shelf clients, so we are looking for: bags of potatoes/boxed scalloped potatoes, turkey gravy, green bean casserole ingredients (green beans, cream of mushroom soup and French fried onion rings), boxed stuffing mix and cranberry sauce. Our freezers will be available to accept turkeys as of Wednesday, November 9 (12-14 pound turkeys are a good size).

Thanksgiving Donation Drop-Off Times:

  • Wednesdays, November 2, 9, and 16
Since we are open for clients from 12 Noon to 6 PM, the better time to stop in with donations is 11 AM to 12 Noon. If you can only come after 12 Noon, please park at Claussen’s and walk over. If you need a cart or assistance, please walk over and let us know how we can help.
  • Saturday, November 12 from 12 Noon to 4 PM
  • Saturday, November 19 from 12 Noon to 4 PM

Thanksgiving Distribution to Clients:

  • Monday, November 21 from 11 AM to 2 PM and 4 PM to 7 PM
  • Tuesday, November 22 from 11 AM to 2 PM
  • The Food Shelf will be CLOSED on Wednesday, November 23. We will be open again on Wednesday, November 30 from 12 Noon to 6 PM.

Thank you for your continued support and Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Stay Safe and Healthy.
