Colchester Food Shelf will be open on Wednesday, August 12 from 12 Noon to 6:00 PM
Temporary Change to the Flow of Vehicles at the CCFS
Please look for Food Shelf Volunteers directing you on Wednesday, August 12. We need to change the flow of vehicles at the Food Shelf due to a paving project at Union Memorial School.
- Before heading to the Food Shelf, please ensure you have room in the trunk of your car or the back of your SUV.
- When you arrive at the Food Shelf, please remain in your car and form a single line to the side door.
- If you are new to the Food Shelf, please bring proof of residency (E.g., utility bill, insurance bill, mortgage/lease). Unfortunately, a driver’s license cannot be used for proof of residency.
Temporary Change in the Location of the Donation Container
Please note that the bleu container for donations will be on the Food Shelf side of Claussen’s parking lot on Wednesday, August 12. If you plan to make a donation to the CCFS, please pull into Claussen’s parking lot and come towards the CCFS. You will see the container with our sign. Thank you again for your generosity!
Gardeners with Extra Produce
If you plan to donate fresh produce from your garden to the CCFS, we ask that produce be brought to the Food Shelf on Wednesdays only, preferably before we open, so we can be sure that the fresh items are distributed on the same day. We will have volunteers at the Food Shelf by 11 AM on Wednesday, August 12, to receive produce donations. From 11:00 to 11:30 AM, you can come to the side door of the Food Shelf. The change in time is due to the paving project at Union Memorial School.
Where Can You Find Us?
The Food Shelf is located at 245 Main Street, Colchester, between Claussen’s Greenhouse and Union Memorial School. We can also be reached by phone at 802-879-2444. If you call outside our Wednesday hours, please leave a message. Our mailing address for donations is Colchester Food Shelf, PO Box 625, Colchester, Vermont 05446.
Stay well!
