Colchester Food Shelf will be open every Wednesday in December from 12 Noon to 6 PM

The Colchester Food Shelf will be open for what has become its regular hours, 12 Noon to 6 p.m., all Wednesdays in December (December 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th).

Just a few reminders:

  • please remain in your car
  • wear a mask
  • if you are not feeling well, please find someone to come for your groceries and call us to complete the Perishables Card information as well as letting us know who is coming in your place

For those of you who might come after 4 p.m., please know that we do watch for cars after dark, but if you are the only car and a volunteer does not come right out, please give a quick toot of your car horn or call the Food Shelf number (802-879-2444) and let us know you are waiting.

Donors are still welcome! A volunteer is at the Food Shelf by about 11 a.m. if you wish to come to the side door or park at Claussen’s Greenhouse and put your donations in the container on the Claussen’s side of the Food Shelf building. We can always use pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, bottled juice, crackers, and hearty soups like Progresso or Campbellā€™s Chunky.

Where Can You Find Us?
The Food Shelf is located at 245 Main Street, Colchester, between Claussen’s Greenhouse and Union Memorial School. We can also be reached by phone at 802-879-2444. If you call outside our Wednesday hours, please leave a message.

Our mailing address for donations is Colchester Food Shelf, PO Box 625, Colchester, Vermont 05446.
