“If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.”

Wednesday, April 26: Grocery Pick-up

An umbrella over the words "April Showers."

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26: FOOD SHELF HOURS: 12 NOON TO 6 PM

As a reminder, this Wednesday, April 26, will be the fourth Wednesday in April. Next week, the Colchester Food Shelf will be open on Wednesday, May 3, from 12 Noon to 6 PM, and again on Saturday, May 6, from 9 AM to 11 AM.

We will be reminding clients that they should start bringing their own reusable bags beginning the first Wednesday in May. You are welcome to start bringing your own reusable bags at any time.

PROOF OF RESIDENCE INFORMATION: Please don’t forget to bring Proof of Residency if you are a new client or are asked to bring it. Please remember that this is the only piece of personal information we require for you to use the services of the Food Shelf. Proof would be a current bill, lease, etc., with your name and address. A driver’s license or car registration can not be used as Proof of Residence.

DONATIONS: Thank you to all who donate so generously. The high-priority items are those that are on the shopping list used by our clients. You can find a list of high-priority items by visiting the Donate page on our website (or click here to view the list). Please try to stop by between 11 AM and 12 Noon with your donations. It is easier to get in and out since the Food Shelf is not open for clients until noon. Two volunteers are at the Food Shelf getting ready for the afternoon.

Please stay safe and well!
