WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13 FOOD SHELF HOURS: 12 NOON TO 6 PM

The Food Shelf will be open on Wednesday, November 13, from 12 Noon to 6 PM.

PROOF OF RESIDENCE: Please don’t forget to bring Proof of Residency if you have not brought updated paperwork since October 1. Proof of Residence can in the form of a current bill, lease, etc., with your name and address. A driver’s license or car registration can not be used as Proof of Residence. Anyone who requests Thanksgiving dinner fixings and a turkey must be up to date on their Proof of Residency.

THANKSGIVING DONATIONS: With Thanksgiving fast approaching, the Colchester Community Food Shelf is beginning its annual collection of food and monetary donations to help those in need. This year, we anticipate providing Thanksgiving meals to around 200 families in our community, and we need your support to make it possible!

If you’re able to contribute, we would greatly appreciate donations of the following food items:

  • Canned Corn
  • Canned Green Beans
  • Instant Mashed Potatoes
  • Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Chicken Soup
  • French Fried Onions
  • Stuffing Mix
  • Gravy (jarred, canned, or instant)
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Turkeys

Donation Drop-Off Times:

  • Wednesdays: 11 AM – 6 PM
  • Saturday Drop-Offs:
    • November 16th, 11 AM – 4 PM
    • November 23rd, 11 AM – 4 PM

FOOD DRIVE: 2024 Fill the Boat Food Drive at Saba Marine in Colchester from September 23 to November 18. Help fill up a boat with non-perishable items for the Colchester Community Food Shelf. You can find Saba Marine at 390 Prim Road in Colchester, Vermont.
